This incredible deposit was first discovered in 1875 during the construction of the famous Stoneman Grade, which connects present day Superior to Globe, Arizona. From 1877 to 1888 the famous Silver King Mine was in operation and during that brief span of time it produced an astounding $16,000,000 in silver.

Tony Blair became Prime Minister of Britain, the Liberals won a resounding triumph in Canada and the left was rejoicing in a robust economic expansion under the leadership of President Clinton. But their theme song, “Happy Days Are Here Again,” has an empty ring now...
