Gold in New Zealand
July 2007
In 1965, I visited New Zealand and saw a South Island goldfield. I knew very little about gold at that time and stopped only long enough to peruse a few relics and old photos on the pub wall.

Q: Does anyone know of an electrowinning instrument that will plate (heavy plate) rhodium and iridium? I have both in solution. (Solution content = 262.9 oz/ton of iridium; 14.9 oz/ton rhodium.)
If I have precious metals in solution in bulk, say 620 to 1,000 gallons, is there a facility to extract the precious metals out? If so, can each be isolated?

We’re always out there looking, checking, researching and trying to locate a new prospect or deposit. It’s always a question as to where to start. Some days we head down to the river to do some panning, sluicing or dredging.

This is a story of a bit of our earth, carved by lines of longitude and latitude. There is a deep mystery in this land. The naked mountains speak of long ages of thrusting and rifting—of uplift and erosion. These riddles in the rock defy explanation.

Once again international terrorism became the focus of much of the world as the British Isles were swept by two major stories. First, two vehicles were found with high explosives in London and it was only the smoldering fuses that gave away the contents of the vehicles before they exploded.
