Platinum group metals (PGMs) have been noted at a few localities in Nevada, especially in Clark County. Unfortunately, some of these occurrences have been associated, in the past, with fraudulent schemes. The amount of PGMs found so far has not been enough for commercially important mining operations, but the mere fact that PGMs are present is worthy of note.The Patio

Any ore grading 32% silver would contain more than 9,000 ounces of silver per ton and be valued at something in the range of $150,000 per ton. Even a few tons of this type of material would be well worth shipping off to a smelter for treatment.

Gold Hunting on Libby Creek
The biggest nugget I have found detecting here was three grams and the following weekend someone found a 9-gram nugget while detecting. Some have even found quarter-ounce nuggets, with one being a chevron nugget.
