California State Gold Panning Championships

For a time uranium was more popular with prospectors than gold, but this is no longer true, and it has been decades since it was common to see individuals armed with Geiger counters out in the field.
There are a number of Tertiary river channels in the area, most of which trend south-southwest. They tend to be steep, narrow, and rich with coarse gold.
By the time you receive this issue of ICMJ, the November election will be only a few weeks away, and the campaign is finally heating up. Quite surprisingly, Vice President Gore has taken the lead in recent polls from the early front-runner, George "Dubya" Bush.
They want to close our roads on public land (built by taxpayer funds) to keep us and our disabled veterans out. And it won’t stop with just mining.
