This past month certainly had its share of attention-grabbing headlines starting with the overwhelming wins by (presumed) Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry of Massachusetts. He effectively swept aside all opposition in a series of Democratic primary election wins from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

The seventh annual California State Championships started off with a roar and it never ended until the champions were named at the end of the two-day event. The setting was perfect. The event was being held in the historic mining town of Foresthill, northeast of Sacramento.

On a personal note, very little has bothered me quite as much as the fact that some on the political left are crying “foul” about the fact that Secretary Clinton may have (the outcome is still slightly uncertain at press time) gained more popular votes than the President-elect and therefore the election result is “wrong.”
