Mohave County, Arizona: The Oatman/San Francisco Mining District

The Oatman/San Francisco Mining District’s historic gold production of 2.2 million ounces of gold since the 1880s makes this area Arizona’s greatest primary gold producing district.
We are at a crossroads; either we establish the mining, production and refining of rare earth elements here in the US or we remain subjected to the whims of the Chinese government.
The Sierra Mojada Project lies within a historic high grade silver, lead and zinc mining district originally discovered in 1879.
We import nearly all of our REEs from China, so it’s critical that we find and continue to develop domestic resources of these elements.
The same day, while two of us were heading to Vancouver to attend the mining convention, two others from our team were headed to Nevada to begin loading the millsite equipment.
