Given the astonishing increase in government expenditures of the past two years, one must ask if there is another parade of taxes and levies waiting in the wings, and, directly related to our precious metals, if there is some form of tax rebellion also waiting in the wings.
This past month has been filled with headline-grabbing news events and, for a change, it was not only politics that dominated those news stories, but rather financial markets themselves, with gold and mining shares grabbing a major share of attention.
Making it even semi-permanent allows any business that spends heavily on equipment, machinery and other business property to reap large, up-front tax breaks.
