Two Arrested in Alleged Mining Investment Scheme
April 2004 by StaffThe US attorney’s office indicted Diana Flaherty, of Las Vegas, and Michael Gardiner, of San Diego, in connection with a securities fraud scheme. According the indictment, Flaherty, and her husband Robert (now deceased), had managed Phoenix Metals USA II. Gardiner is identified as a company shareholder.

An environmental group has staked a claim to mine 20 acres of land next to a posh subdivision near Hayden Lake, Idaho, to illustrate how antiquated the nation’s mining laws have become.
It is better in a gem and mineral mining operation that the driller, blaster and mucker be the same person in order to be able to predict placement of the desired mineral enriched pockets.
