Persistence Leads to Over a Pound of Gold

I have figured out over the years that the winning combination is hard work, persistence, knowledge, and a little luck. This leads me to describe one of my best finds ever, a “honey hole” of placer gold, if you will.
In this article, I am going to take a look at three Midwest states and go through some of the prime places for prospectors to find nice local gold there.
“I heard him hollering down in the hole as soon as I got there,” he said. “I was just glad to see him alive.”
As I write this, I am still on a rush from taking my 9-year-old son, Jeffrey, prospecting for the first time this past weekend. I returned to the WSPA claim. Still smug from my previous success, I was thinking I could not fail. However, the gold gods had other plans.
