…this being our January 2021 edition, we offer our forecasts for gold and silver during the coming year. Hint: I hope I am not being overly-optimistic.
The Federal Reserve just reported that inflation exceeded their 2% target for the first time in five years and the University of Michigan reported their inflationary expectations have now risen to 2.7%.
Perhaps the first and most important is the fact that the foreign exchange value of the US Dollar has been going down steadily for several months. As the value of the Dollar goes down, the price of goods in Dollar terms tend to go up…
Legislation to allow the Idaho treasurer to invest in gold and silver that must be physically stored in Idaho is headed to the full House.
One of the oldest sayings we all learned as children was “Water, water, everywhere, but not a drop to drink.” Following developments during the past month, we might rephrase that as “Questions, questions, everywhere, but not an answer to truly trust.”
