Fatal injuries at mining operations in the United States last year decreased nearly six percent from the previous year, according to preliminary data from the US Department of Labor’s Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
Each specimen is carefully examined to determine if it would be beneficial or not to use an acid treatment to reveal more of the gold.

Since the cycle of water flow is dominated by excessive and sudden “gulley washers” after downpours typical of desert country, there is a tendency to spread gold values out in the alluvial fans and not have placer gold concentrations more typical of big river deposits.
