Idaho legislature introduces bill to nullify EPA regulations
February 12, 2014
How about some good news for a change?Idaho has introduced a bill to challenge the constitutionality of EPA regulations. The stated purpose of H 0473 is "to protect citizens of Idaho from EPA regulations that are not authorized by the Constitution of the United States and violate the Constitution's true meaning of intent."
Following a February 3, 2014 hearing in front of the Idaho House Resources Committee regarding the EPA's ridiculous permit requirements for suction gold dredging, Representative Paul Shepherd (R-Riggins) introduced the bill which would declare EPA rules and restrictions as unconstitutional and unenforceable in the state.
The bill passed through the House State Affairs Committee on February 6 and will receive a full hearing.
