PLP files federal lawsuit against State of California to lift suction gold dredging ban

Public Lands for the People (PLP) filed a federal lawsuit against the State of California on Monday, September 14, to restore the rights of suction gold dredgers.PLP declares the prohibition of suction dredge mining and closure of waterways is in violation of numerous acts, laws, regulations, and violates both the Constitution of the United States and the State of California. The lawsuit seeks an injunction against the State to enjoin and restrain them from implementing or enforcing the prohibition and closure.
