Gold Prospecting and Mining Summit Returns to Placerville in 2016.
The answer is yes. But before you call us, you need to know that registration for our hands-on training classes will begin on January 4, 2016. (Classes are only open to current subscribers.)
We will again offer two hands-on training days at a placer mining operation with instruction in panning, highbanking and metal detecting for gold, with participants keeping any gold they find. The larger placer operation will be operating as well, for those who wish to see how to set one up.
We will also have our underground class again on the Monday following the exhibit days.
In October 2015, we will begin contacting our current advertisers to take booth reservations. If there are any remaining booth spots available, we will allow non-advertisers the opportunity to reserve a booth space starting in December 2015.
Here is the tentative schedule:
October 2015: | Begin taking booth reservations from current advertisers. |
December 2015: | Open booth reservations to non-advertisers if there are any spots remaining. |
January 4, 2016: | Registration for hands-on classes opens. |
April 15, 2016: | Hands-on training class (placer mining). Exhibitor set up day. |
April 16-17, 2016: | Show, exhibits, lectures at Placerville (El Dorado County) Fairgrounds, in Placerville, California. |
April 18, 2016: | Hands-on training class (placer mining). Introduction to underground (lode) mining class. |
Updates, lecture schedules, and related information will be published in ICMJ’s Prospecting and Mining Journal beginning with the October 2015 issue.
It's time to start planning your vacation for April 2016. We'll be bringing in our writers, instructors and advertisers from all over North America to make this an experience you won't forget.
I look forward to seeing you there.
