Solar energy can be used for any size placer or hard rock mining operation. It is most practical for small and longer-term operations provided your mine is not located in a dense forest.
This article is intended to try to help someone who is breaking into gold detecting and using a pulse induction (PI) detector.
Every time we prospected here we found gold, sometimes some really coarse flakes, but no large nuggets (yet).
Here's the kicker—for every lost flake there was a five minute penalty added to the time. Lost gold generally meant you didn't make it past the preliminaries.
