David Lawler
David is an economic geologist and historian who has studied ancestral Yuba River placer gold deposits for over 50 years. The author has recently published his 3rd revised edition of the popular “Ancestral Yuba River Gold Map.” It is the author’s life mission to provide useful information that will foster a renewed interest in economic development of the placer gold-bearing deposits of the ancestral Yuba River among miners and metal detectorists, as well as an appreciation for this intriguing history by hikers, historians, tourists, campers and other outdoor-oriented visitors to the Sierra Nevada region of northern California.
