Try your luck at our panning booths. Learn how and where to prospect for gold or look for treasure. Get ideas on how to turn your treasures into keepsakes and collectibles. Visit our gold display and talk to our members about their equipment displays and experiences. Vote in our homemade/modified equipment contest. Food and beverages will be available. This is an annual fund-raiser for the California State Mining and Mineral Museum. 
The Show features gemstones, geode cutting, panning for gold, lovely jewelry and more! Makes an ideal fun and educational activity for the kids. Also, a silent auction and a huge raffle add to the fun.

The Museum is open during the show and admission is FREE! The Museum displays beautiful crystals and gemstones form the State's collection, and features an extensive gold mining exhibit inlcuding a replica mine tunnel. There are lots of fun and educational activites for kids.

CIM 2017 Convention
At the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. The convention's theme is "New State of Mine." Mining will be examined through the lens of safety, innovation, employment, leadership and much more, as well as a strong technical program. More than 5,000 mining industry professionals are expected to take in the events.
The Technical Program will feature wide-ranging topics including an examination of the operational excellence culture, innovations present and future, a corporate safety showcase, diversity and gender equality, the environment and sustainable development, geology and exploration, rock mechanics, business cases and engineering challenges of global mining. With the CIM international portfolio growing strategically, the West Africa stream will be of interest to all in attendance as well.
The Expo, Canada’s mining marketplace, will be celebrating its 34th anniversary. It will host nearly 450 exhibiting companies, featuring the latest in mining equipment, tools, technologies and services.
