The author has spent the last thirty-four years mining for gold in the Klondike. He has written articles for the New York Times Sunday edition and numerous magazines. He has authored two books on the Butterfield Trail in Arizona. His latest book is titled The Butterfield Trail and Overland Mail Company in Arizona,1858-1861, published in April 2011.
