Bob was born and raised in Western New York. After being trained in electronics in the US Navy, he worked in various engineering departments at Westinghouse Electric, and ended his career with Florida Power Corporation.
He's traveled from Georgia and North Carolina to the western US, Alaska and Central America, and spent over 3 1/2 years in Australia, in search of that elusive metal called gold. He does not consider himself an expert in prospecting, but the love and challenge of it simply evolved as an extension of his love of traveling and living outdoors.
