Comments needed on California Water Board proposal to limit Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) on the Klamath River

In our May 2010 issue we reported on the California Water Board's attempt to restrict suction gold dredging by prescribing Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) limits for the Klamath River. The comment period closes on July 21, 2010, by 12 noon. Please take a few minutes to address the problems associated with the proposed limits.

The responsibility for issuing forms kicks in at $600 for coins or bullion -- not a very high level and one that has already started sounding alarm bells.
