SONORA, MX GOLD PLACER MINE
Fully-permitted, placer gold mine located in Sonora, Mexico—available for sale, lease or JV opportunity. A February 1995 report in the California Mining Journal by Edgar B. Heylum, Ph. D, entitled “Placer Gold in Sonora,” stated this mine along the Rio Yaqui was one of the finest in the State, with reported areas of up to 0.5 ounces per yard. The concession was subsequently purchased by a German geologist who had retired in the area, and was searching for his own project. However, a several year bout with cancer prohibited production under his guidance, and the 3-concession, approximate 2,500-acre mine is now held by his widow. A group of areas within the mine, containing 94,000,000 cubic yards of river gravels with an estimated 1.5 grams per yd. average gold content was studied prior to the owner’s death. This is potentially a multi-billion $ mine in a well noted, mining friendly area. For additional information please contact EUGENE SHANNON at (603)986-1415 or email him.
